Giving hope for the future
EVIM initiates social innovations as solutions to societal problems. Often, the necessary funds for these solutions are not available. That is why we established the EVIM Foundation. Through it, we support projects that would otherwise receive no funding. In this way, we create new paths and new spaces for social interaction and help precisely where other systems reach their limits.
EVIM Foundation
A Diakonie institution as an expression of the essence and life of the Protestant Church
Commitment to society
The aim of our foundation is to provide immediate assistance to people without advocates. With this foundation, we want to secure our diaconal work in the long term. Innovative projects in particular need start-up assistance, as the funds available from reimbursements by cost bearers are no longer sufficient for this purpose.
Your commitment
We are very grateful that the foundation already has capital of around €300,000 at its disposal, which will enable us to make a real difference. Nevertheless, we are dependent on further funding to secure our work in the future.
Fields of activity of the EVIM Foundation
Elderly Care Relief Fund
The fund supports a wide range of services for the elderly and people suffering from dementia. These include our painting project Farbzeit, which has been part of the leisure activities offered at various EVIM senior centers for several years. We also use the fund to enable other activities and care services. These include working with therapeutically trained dogs, clowns, theater performances, music therapy, and choir singing.
Aid Fund Participation
It aims to integrate people with disabilities into social life. Integration can take many forms: for example, we have set up a partnership exchange for people with disabilities called Schatzkiste (Treasure Chest). We offer employment and leisure activities for older people in retirement. Or we help people with disabilities to develop their creativity in painting, acting, or dancing, enabling them to experience themselves and others in a new way.
Youth Welfare Aid Fund
This fund provides individual assistance to children and young people who are cared for or supported by us. This may take the form of a holiday camp or therapeutic play activities. The money from the fund enables us to do more for the children and young people and give them the best possible start in life, which they cannot have in their families.
Education Aid Fund
The successful educational development of young people is particularly important to us. Our school types (school for sick children and educational support, school for children of traveling professionals, integrated comprehensive school Campus Klarenthal) are ideally suited for this and enable children and young people to learn in a way that suits them and to reach their full potential.
Become a donor
Becoming a donor is something special. You create something lasting and keep your values and ideas alive. Donating is also a commitment to the hope that we can shape our world. As a donor, you are part of a community that has faith in the future.
We would like to invite you to become part of this community. Give hope for the future! With your contribution to the EVIM Foundation, you will be supporting the tradition and future of our diaconal work, our Christian values, and their anchoring in social coexistence.
We are always available to talk to our donors and anyone else who is interested. Pastor Matthias Loyal and Mr. Dieter Nühlen look forward to answering your questions and talking to you.

Forms of endowment
Become a co-donor
With an endowment contribution, you increase the existing foundation capital and thus the foundation's long-term performance. The interest income from this is reinvested each year where help is most urgently needed. This option is available for amounts of €4,000 or more. Please contact us—we look forward to hearing from you!
Establish your own foundation
Under the umbrella of the EVIM Foundation, you have the opportunity to set up your own foundation, known as a dependent foundation. Whether you set up the foundation in your own name, in the name of someone close to you, or whether you want to dedicate the foundation to a cause or an idea: you determine the purpose of the foundation and thus specify how the income from the foundation's capital is to be used.
Our aid funds
Our opportunities for you as a donor are as diverse as our work. Whether you want to support our work with children and young people or are particularly concerned about the welfare of elderly people, we can help you realize your foundation idea. You can set up a personal aid fund with a minimum contribution of €10,000.
Our thanks
We will document your commitment to the EVIM Foundation with your name or the name of someone you would like to commemorate with the foundation. We also respect your wish to remain anonymous.
In addition, we invite you to our annual reception and inform you about the projects that have been funded. You will also learn about the progress we have made thanks to your support.
